Our mission is as follows:
Psalm 50: 10,11 "For every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills I know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field are mine.As stewards of the land that God has entrusted us with, we strive to manage the land in a way that is pleasing to the Lord and beneficial to His creation. Currently, we are using goats as a management tool for weeds, because goats are browsers, they tend to travel more than cattle or horses do in any given day. Click here to read more on the benefits and studies on using goats for weed control.

| Peterson Buffalo Ranch is a 9200 acre ranch located 30 miles South East of Bassett, Nebraska. The ranch is located in the heart of the Sandhills, full of rolling hills, native prairie grasses, lakes and artesian spring wells. Besides the buffalo we also have a commercial beef cow herd and a few full bred Scottish Highlander cattle, as well as Boer goats. |

The ranch is also filled with wildlife such as ducks, geese, prairie chickens, turkeys, jack rabbits and coyotes. Also, in the fall of 2001, we had a moose come visit. |
|
We feel our ranch is one of the most beautiful spots on earth. In the spring the hills and valleys are a beautiful shade of green, glistening with dew in the morning sunrise and filled with deep shadows at sunset. Summer brings a multitude of baby buffalo, beef calves and beautiful wildflowers. |

With fall comes the changing of the leaves, the maturing of the prairie grass and the annual week of working buffalo. Seeing the animals dusted with the wintertime white and the gently falling snow are absolutely breathtaking. Over 9000 acres of land, teaming with wildlife, this is where the buffalo make their home. |
